Physical DescriptionPassglas with Filigree Bands. Colorless, with grayish tinge; opaque white threads. Blown; applied; vetro a fili, vetro a retorti. Passglas. Tall cylindrical beaker with fire-polished rim, set directly on low, blown pedestal foot with infolded edge and pontil mark. Four horizontal compound bands, consisting of central cable of six twisted opaque white threads, between two single, narrow white ribbons, in colorless glass matrix, applied to beaker and trimmed to fit.Foot is decorated overall with vetro a fili and vetro a retorti canes radiating from center. Points where horizontal bands come together are almost exactly above each other for two upper bands and for two lower bands respectively.
Glass contains impurities.
