Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass, (copper) ruby stain; blown, cut, stained, engraved. Bell-shaped bowl; cut, plain rim; octagonal cut panel on the front, bearing an engraved view of a castle on a hillside, inscribed below "Rheinstein", engraved through copper-ruby stain; the sides panel-cut, with a cut concave oval facet on the reverse; copper-ruby stained grape vines; the panels outlined in ruby stain; waisted, panel-cut stem, outlined with ruby stain; stepped, panel cut foot with cut petal rim, outlined with ruby stain; cut radial ribs on the bottom of the foot.Provenance
