Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass; cut; molded, encased sulphide; stamped, gilt metal. Flat, circular shape, face slightly convex, back flat; enclosing a molded white sulphide of a man in military uniform, facing sinister; reverse impressed "A L'ESCALIER/DE CRISTAL/A PARIS."; fitted in a stamped gilt metal frame, with stylized foliate border on the front and back, and with reeded rim; post and loose ring for hanging.
