Flat, circular disk; the obverse with convex bust-length portrait of a bearded man wearing elaborate armor; inscribed around the edge "HENRI IIII ROI DE/ FRANCE ET DE NAVARRE", and below shoulder "DE PUYMAURIN D. CAQUE F"; the reverse bearing the inscription "HENRI IV./63eme. ROI./ FILS D'ANTOINE DE BOURBON./NE 1553./ROI 1589./ENTREE A PARIS 1594./PAIX DE VERVINS 1598./CONQUETE DE LA BRESSE/ET DU BUGEY/ 1600./MORT 1610."; impressed "CUIVRE", with a hand pointing at the inscription, on the rim.
