Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass, white sulphide; encased, cut, molded sulphide, cast gilt metal mount. Flat, circular shape, with a roughly circular panel on the front, boldly scalloped rim, with heavy, rounded, cut radial ribbing on the back; enclosing a molded sulphide plaque of a halloed man (St. John the Baptist), partly draped with a fur, holding a lamb; reverse of the sulphide flat; gilt metal mount with overlapping leaves and berries on the front, bulbous post pierced for a loose ring for hanging.Provenance
