Physical DescriptionPaperweight with Sulphide of a Saint. Colorless, dark blue, polychrome lead glasses; white sulphide; paperweight, millefiori, encased molded sulphide. Domed, circular form, enclosing a white molded sulphide of a man wearing a bishop's mitre, holding a crozier in one hand, a book in the other; encircled by a ring of millefiori canes (pink- and-green Clichy roses alternating with sets of six star canes), set into a brilliant blue, white-lined ground; polished concave base, inscribed "140" in yellow paint.Provenance
