Physical DescriptionColorless glass; blown, wheel-engraved. Plain rounded rim; straight, slightly tapering side, which curves inward at bottom; disk-shaped base with shallow foot-ring and slight concavity. Signed on bottom of footring: "J L - Karhula." Wheel-engraved decoration: below rim, continuous band of twelve eight-pointed stars; below this, occupying most of side (counterclockwise): continuous scene with part of single-story house with clapboard siding, one window, pitched roof and chimney; low bank with grasses and tall, leafy tree in foreground and wood fence in background; girl drawing water at well; distant view of forest. Attached to bottom: gilt paper label with polar bear and "KARHULA."
