Physical DescriptionLight brown copper or bronze; minted. Flat, circular disk; the obverse with male portrait head, facing dexter; inscribed below the neck "DEPAULIS.F." and near the rim "DEPUYMAURIN.NUM. PRAEF."; inscribed around the edge "CAROLVS.X.FRANC/ET.NAV.REX"; the reverse with two standing female figures at an elaborate monument, that at the left with a radiance and holding a cross; that at the right holding a flag and placing a wreath on the monument; two portraits on the monument inscribed "OHERVILLY" and "SOMBREUIL"; inscribed on a tablet below "TRADIDERVNT/ANIMAS /SVAS", and on the base "CAQUE.F."; inscribed above, near the edge, "PRO.DEO.PRO.REGE.PRO.PATRIA" and below, "AD.QVIBERONEM NEFARIE/TRVCIDATI./ANN.MDCCLXXXV".
