Physical DescriptionColorless and brilliant blue lead glass; fused murrine; furnace-worked and cased; blown and cut, with millefiori inclusions. (a) Globular shape enclosing a domed paperweight in its base; "paperweight" with multi-colored millefiori arranged in three concentric circles around a cane, and with six C-loops of millefiori canes (one of pink "roses"), against a brilliant blue ground backed with opaque white; sides of the bottle with cut large oval facets and grooves separating them; grooves above forming a pentagon; panel-cut, baluster-shaped neck with flared rim; ground for a stopper; paper label inscribed "74" on the bottom. (b) Heavy knob, with four cut oval facets on the sides, cut flat on top; enclosing two concentric rings of millefiori canes around a white cane, on a brilliant opaque blue ground; panel-cut waisted shank above a tapered section.
