Flat, circular disk; the obverse with convex male bust-length portrait, wearing his hair in a queue, a ribband over his shoulder, facing sinister; inscribed around the edge "LOUIS XVI ROI DE/FRANCE ET DE NAVARRE", and below the bust, "DE PUYMAURIN.D.CAQUE.F."; the reverse with inscription "LOUIS XVI./67eme. ROI./FILS DE LOUIS/DAUPHIN DE FRANCE./NE 1754./ROI 1774./SUPPRESSION DES CORVEES 1776./ ALLIANCE AVEC LES ETES UNIS 1778./ASSEMBLEE DES NOTABLES 1787./ETATS GENERAUX 1789./ABOLITION DES PRIVILEGES 1789/ NOUVELLE CONSTITUTION/1790./MORT 1793."; impressed on the rim "CUIVRE" with a hand pointing at it at the left.
