Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass; blown, engraved. Tapered bowl with waisted base, base of the bowl solid and enclosing nine air beads, arranged in a circle of eight around one; sides engraved with scenes of a winged putto offering a plate to a nude woman seated on a hassock, inscribed above "Es lebel alle die so sich wie Eva schamen, /An statt des, feigenblats zwey Eyer vor sich nehmen""; scrolls and shell below the engraved scene; stem consisting of a hollow angular knop with basal ball knop; domed and folded foot; rough pontil mark.Provenance
