Physical DescriptionCovered Pokal or Goblet. Clear glass with minute and small bubbles and few sand impurities; free-blown, tooled and engraved. (a) Folded domed foot with rough pontil mark, inverted hollow baluster stem supporting pointed funnel bowl; solid bottom of bowl contains six tears around a center tear; on bowl a coat-of-arms, - the different sections show a double-cross, a star, waves, two lions, a panel with three arrows, lines and waves, two stars, and a lion, in the center again a lion -, surmounted by a crown (royal?) and flanked by standing lions. (b) Set-in domed cover with pontil mark, with doubly cushioned knob and mushroom-like finial.
