Physical DescriptionColorless and multi-colored transparent glass, black enamel, silver (appearing amber) stain, "antique" glass, glass chunks, enamel, silver stain, lead; cut "antique" glass and glass chunks, enameled and stained, fired, assembled with two widths of lead. Vertical rectangular panel in heavily-leaded "Gothic Revival" flat graphic style, copious detailing in black enamel, letters of varying sizes in pseudo-Gothic typeface are incised (stickwork) through black enamel background; scene depicts the robed and haloed figure of Jesus Christ with one hand raised in a gesture of peace, a blue cross extends from the halo, the figure stands in a small red boat amid stylized turbulent blue waves that comprise most of the background, upper section of panel shows sky with clouds, right corner has a dove with outstretched wings in pinkish clouds from which wavy lines punctuated by small red spots (small chunks of glass) radiate out diagonally behind figure to lower left corner, also from upper right corner arcs rainbow containing the words "MY COVENANT OF/PEACE/I GIVE UNTO YOU", at upper left the rainbow passes over a background scene of a building (containing a figure raised arms) on a high cliff, a tiny dove flies in the sky above, below the waves breaking on the cliff and flanking the head of Christ is the word "PEACE", on other side of figure a yellow half-sun with red rays either rises or sets and below it are the words "BE STILL"; at lower left corner in waves below boat "SEEK PEACE AND/PURSUE IT"; by olive leaves and twisted red drapery; scattered chunks of glass throughout composition; soldered metal frame with aluminum appearance; inscribed through black enamel at lower right corner: "The Lamb Studio/Tenafly N.J/(almost hidden by lead) K.
