Physical DescriptionGlass: colorless, iron: metallic dark brown; glass: poured into molds, polished; metal: fabricated, assembled. Large vertical sculpture comprised of six stacked parts of glass and metal in zigzag formation; the three solid glass blocks are roughly the same size and shape, each in the form of a six-sided truncated pyramid (no top point) with a hemispherical cavity centered on widest square side, the opposite short square side has deep centered V-shaped notch; parts fit together as follows: (top) wide square side with open concave section facing up, this section sits on top of the middle glass section-narrow square facing narrow square-parts are connected by a metal diamond-shaped tube fitted within the respective notches, ends of tube follow the respective angles of the glass; (middle section) wide square end faces the wide end of lowest glass section creating an internal hollow sphere; (lowest) the narrow square end of this section meets metal base formed in roughly the same shape as the glass, they are separated by a flat plate with two diamond-shaped extensions, the top half of the diamond-shapes angle up to enclose the glass giving the appearance that there is a solid section of diamond-shaped metal that echoes the shape and placement of the hollow section at the top; all glass parts and the metal base have overall mottled surface; overall rust patina on metal; signature not located.
