Physical DescriptionApparently light red or reddish violet, transparent (glass); greenish yellow (stain); probably machine-made, transfer-printed with resist; stained. Cup. Rim plain, with rounded lip; wall tapers, then curves in to bottom; disk-shaped foot, slightly concave underneath. Decorated on wall with four identical sprays of wild roses descending from rim to bottom, each containing one short stem with three leaves, and one longer branching stem with leaves, two open flowers, and one bud; stems, most leaves, one flower and most of bud appear pinkish gold, while two leaves and one flower appear purple, all on greenish yellow background; below rim, among and between two sprays, inscription "A. DE CARANZA". On underside of base, inscription in three lines: "Copillet / et Cie Noyon / 582".Provenance
