Physical DescriptionPreserving Jar with Top and Clamp. Aquamarine non-lead glass; mold-blown, pressed, wrought iron. Cylindrical shape with U-shaped groove in neck for seal; obverse with embossed inscription: "MILLVILLE/ATMOSPHERIC/FRUIT JAR"; reverse: "WHITALL'S PATENT/June 18TH 1861"; both inscriptions forming an oval; base with "4"; circular pressed lid embossed: "WHITALL'S PATENT/June 18 TH 1861" on top surface; iron clamp with thumbscrew to tighten.Provenance
