Physical DescriptionPaperweight with Millefiori Mushroom. Colorless, polychrome lead glass; paperweight, millefiori, cut. Domed, circular form, enclosing a mushroom of millefiori canes arranged in concentric rings, with a white and pale blue cane at the center, encircled by a ring of coral and white canes, a ring of green and white stardust and whorl canes, a ring of blue and green canes, a ring of red, white, and blue canes, and a ring of white, red and yellow canes at the outside, with one purple cane inscribed "SL/1848" set into the outer ring; encircled at the base by a blue and white double series filigree twist torsade; polished pontil with cut star; two paper labels, one inscribed "5", the other inscribed "279." in ink.
