Physical DescriptionCovered Goblet. Colorless, with grayish tinge; translucent turquoise blue. Mold-blown; applied. Goblet with cover. Conical bowl of goblet has fire-polished rim and rounded base (pontil mark inside vessel); joined by merese to mold-blown knop (14 ribs); attached by merese and glue-bit to pedestal foot with infolded rim and fire-polished pontil mark. Double-domed cover with flanged rim is surmounted by finial consisting of ribbed knop between mereses, solid knop with five pinched fins, and smaller, solid knop (distantly resembling crown) on top; pontil mark inside cover.

Bowl and cover are decorated with trailed translucent blue chain that was applied before forms were fully blown, resulting in slight stretching of ornament. On bowl, traces of rectangular field that was perhaps intended to be engraved with diamond point.
