Physical DescriptionBody of light gray transparent % Pbo lead glass overlaid with colorless and opaque white, neck colorless, cased with transparent red/orange glass; free-blown with "incalmo" technique. Flattened vertical ovoid with short neck; short, straight-sided lipless neck tooled flat with narrow opening comprised of thick colorless thinly cased in orange/red, applied while hot to body; swelling body of light gray cased in colorless then overlaid in upper two-thirds with two broad parallel uneven bands of white draped over shoulders and covering broad sides of vessel, outside edge of each band forms a smooth deep curve, inside edge is irregular and barely meets opposite band; footless base has ground and polished pontil.
