Physical DescriptionOlive-green non-lead glass; blown, trailed, painted. Large cylindrical bottle, with tapering neck, cracked-off end, and trailed neck ring; rounded shoulders, slightly waisted sides; the neck, shoulder and sides with painted decoration of a flowering vine trailing from the neck, and forming a panel on the front, enclosing a drinking scene of two men and a woman (after Rembrandt's self portrait with Saskia), the man at the right raising a tall stangenglas in his right hand, another stangenglason the table; the vines also creating a second panel on the reverse side, enclosing the inscription "Kummel"; bottom with painted kick; no pontil mark.
