Physical DescriptionSemi-opaque to opaque dark gray to "black" glass, with colorless, opaque white, buff, and brown overlays; blown, applied, ground; multiple overlays sandblasted before application. Vase: tall, roughly ovoid, but with undulating surface. Mouth small, oval, with unturned rim; base ground flat. Overlays consist of irregular areas that are predominantly russet or brown, with sandblasted reticulate patterns (reminiscent of snakeskin) in buff and grayish white, and of one area with shiny, bifurcated zigzag patterns in purple-brown against matte, sandblasted russet to purple-brown background. Scratched signature at bottom of wall: "Jon M. Wolfe 1-1984 ©".
