Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass cased in transparent cobalt; blown, intaglio engraved. Cylindrical shape; cased vessel has been carved through to colorless leaving blue background; lipless rim roughly flattened by inscribed concentric lines; slightly collared band near rim decorated with linear rings flanked on upper and lower edges by circular facets; straight walled body decorated with scene of nude female with raised arms emerging from a covered bed on which rests a clothed figure, also with raised arms, facing a long-necked bird holding a branch in its mouth; background of billowing curtains, crown with bird perched on top, diaper wall pattern; flat base, ground pontil with radiating lines.
