Physical DescriptionTransparent blue and amethyst non-lead glasses; pressed, acid-etched. (a) Wide circular flower or fruit bowl of blue striated by thin amethyst swirls and trails most dense around rim and upper half of body; overall exterior has matte finish; flared lipless rim molded on exterior with broad shallow scallops that become the curved tops of wide concave vertical panels that extend over the body to raised concave circular foot with two raised mold marks; no pontil; (b) hollow circular stepped base in Chinese style with shiney exterior and matte finished underside; raised rim forms the top of two wider concentric curved steps increasing in diameter to three equally spaced low thick feet molded to appear as cut-outs of a fourth ring; no pontil; unsigned.
