Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass, transparent pink/violet, opaque white, yellow red lead glasses; copper patinated black; "Heart" hot-formed, placed in lehr, vessel blown into copper cage, sheared, "heart" applied hot. Cylindrical vessel that has been altered by blowing violet/pink cased in colorless into a copper cage (consisting of two vertical bands--front and back--connected by multiple horizontal wires) producing effect of horizontal ribbing; while puntied, vessel has been sheared open from rim halfway through wide front copper band, rim wrapped with thick irregular trail of red; small hot-formed heart organ with four intertwined aortae, of opaque white with deep purple criss-crossed threading, cased in colorless with concentric circle murrini decoration and yellow rim wraps, attached while hot to interior wall, near rim, opposite vertical cut; overall matte finish; base ground flat, rough pontil; inscribed in script near at base: "TC Robertson 86".Provenance
