Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass, translucent lavender, white, pink/orange, opaque orange, black lead glasses; copper patinated black; "Heart" hot-formed, placed in lehr, vessel cased and blown into copper cage, sheared, "heart" applied hot. Tall cylindrical vessel that has been altered by blowing--lavender, cased in white, cased in pink/orange cased in colorless--into a copper cage (consisting of two vertical bands--front and back--connected by multiple horizontal wires) producing effect of horizontal ribbing; while puntied, rim edged with wide irregular orange wrap, vessel sheared open from rim halfway through wide front copper band; small hot-formed heart organ with four intertwined aortae, of opaque white with pink criss-crossed threading, "picked-up" black glass powders and pink and white concentric murrini, cased in colorless with colorless rim wraps, attached while hot to interior wall, near rim, opposite vertical cut; exterior finish; base ground flat, rough pontil; inscribed in script near at base: "TC Robertson 86".
