Physical DescriptionPerhaps colorless glass, with iridescent gold surface; mold-blown, iridized, ground and polished, acid-stamped. Salt shaped like shallow circular bowl. Rim short and tapered, with rounded lip; shoulder rounded, wall tapers and curves in at bottom; base concave, made by grinding and polishing. Shoulder and wall decorated with 16 ribs, which curve from upper left to lower right on shoulder, then straighten. All surfaces except underside of base have brilliant gold finish with iridescent highlights. Acid-stamped trademark on underside of base: "Quezal" above scroll.
