Physical DescriptionOpaque white and brilliant red non-lead glass; blown, overlaid, relief-carved. Shallow, circular form, with curved sides and everted rim, and flat center; red overlay on white on red; polished rim; a band of red around the rim, with relief-carved decoration in the center, of a dragon chasing a fiery ball (pearl) in clouds, above waves, his head and forelegs emerging from one cloud, his tail from another; the back of the plate red, with ground, flat base and ground recessed disk in the center.Provenance
