Physical DescriptionCovered Container. Colorless, cased with opaque white, lead glass, then translucent red glass; mold-blown, cased, cut, polished. Round covered container; (a) shallow bowl with constricted lipless, ground rim, body swells out then tapers in slightly at base; cut decoration of two bands of large circles separated by band of "circle within four-point stars"; slightly concave base cut with outer band of egg shapes encircling a large center circle; no foot, no pontil; unsigned; (b) cover with solid straight stem handle, the tip of which has been cut in a six-point notched star pattern, sides cut with two bands of small connected horizontal pointed ovals; sloping top of cover cut in a band of small circles encircled by a band of larger circles, each separated by a band of "circle within a four-point star" cuts, colorless straight inset flange.
