Physical DescriptionCologne Bottle with Stopper in "Pillars and Roses" Pattern. Colorless lead glass; blown, cut and engraved, silver deposit on stopper. (a) Globular shape with sixteen vertical "pillars" rising from base half way up sides; alternating pillars are plain; others are engraved, along with rest of body in an overall design of roses; neck is paneled; flat base has polished pontil mark and row of engraved circles; engraving is polished; "71" scratched underneath. (b) Stopper is mushroom shaped and covered with silver; "8" engraved on end of shank.Provenance
