Physical DescriptionColorless glass with red, amber and green cane and blue and green oxides; cire perdue, cast, painted, chipped. Solid deep tapering four-point star on four legs; solid, bubble-filled colorless form in shape of four-pointed star is polished flat on top surface then extends and tapers downward to four notched and blunted ends meeting at a central point on the underside scored with a "+"; vertical side "walls" of opposing points washed with pale green/black oxides, second pair of points with blue/black; spanning "walls" of each side at mid-section is non-painted face of stylized pocket calculator in relief; each star point edged with cane comprised of a colored shaft (red, amber, green/amber) cased in squared thick colorless, cane sections extend beyond base of solid central star to form short legs; feet of all cane chipped and partially polished, top corners of cane with red centers irregularly broken then partially polished; surface of entire piece bears raised mold marks which are most prominent along outside edges of the cane; signed on edge of one leg: "Stephen Nelson 1985 C".
