Physical DescriptionOpalescent non-lead glasses: milky red-orange-purple, white (appear to be two shades--one shading to cream), lime-green mottled with light amber, dark gray mettalic lead, gray painted frame; glass, lead, solder, painted metal frame; cut, leaded, assembled. Vertical rectangular panel with composition of two large stacked geometric elements; top 1/3 consists of a large horizontal egg-shaped green section of green sheet glass with raised mottled surface texture, narrow end of "egg" points to front right, center base of egg touches top of larger, slightly irregularly-shaped horizontal rectangle of milky red-orange-purple (thickness varies somewhat and glass has streaked texture) occupying roughly 2/3 of composition ground, both colored sections bordered by wide lead; colored sections are surrounded by a background of whites and cream interspersed in blocks between narrow, parallel, wavering lead lines radiating from scattered perimeter sections of both colored pieces to the outside of the frame, at top of composition the lines radiate from center edge toward frame corners, lead also connects the two colored sections; exterior of panel framed in wide lead; panel is bolted into L-shaped metal frame painted gray, no backing; unsigned.
