Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass; blown, cut, engraved. Large round funnel bowl, engraved with a continuous scene of whale fishing, a large three-masted ship with men in the process of cutting and rendering a whale, with three other ships nearby, and with a long boat with six men on board, one of whom is preparing to throw a harpoon into a whale; relief-cut band of leaves and a band of circular cut facets below the scene; stem composed of a small ball knop, a disk knop, a ball knop, an angular knop, and a basal ball knop; domed and folded foot with rough pontil mark; white painted number "1424" on the pontil mark.
