Physical DescriptionGoblet. Colorless, translucent purple. Blown; tooled, diamond-point engraved. Facon de Venise. Conical bowl with fire-polished rim, attached with glue-bit to blown stem of four flattened and graduated (largest at top) knops above tapered section; joined with glue-bit [capstan?] to shallow, blown foot with infolded rim and pontil mark. Bowl is made of translucent purple glass and decorated with diamond-point engraved representations of bird perched on leafy branch, and flower flanked by leafy branches; foot has stylized foliage.
