Physical DescriptionColorless non-lead glass, red enamel; Kugler color mixed with clear pâte de verre, cast in a plaster and flint mold (from a clay positive), bottom ground flat, slot cut on a bandsaw, sandblasted, then hand ground with diamond files; 1/2" plate glass silhouette cut with bandsaw, edges ground, sandblasted, painted with low-fire L. Reusche glass enamels. Stylized vase cut from thick flat glass, air-brush enameled in shaded red except for one curved "handle" shape in mid-section, polished edges lightly air-brushed with black (as is handle area), overall black flecks; vase supported upright by heavy pâte de verre open bowl of colorless glass (appearing transluscent white) with overall red flecks and one large red splotch near base, flared brownish-red crystalized rim, bowl deeply notched on one side to accept edge of vase; solid flat base with two small concave points, overall cracks; unsigned.
