Physical DescriptionClear glass with minute bubbles; free-blown, dip-molded and enameled, with applied and tooled parts and with impressed decoration. Conical folded foot, composite stem with pontil mark: a disk surmounted by a hollow baluster and a gadrooned knop, cushioned by two concave parts; the bowl has a boat-like shape with bulging walls, rough pontil mark at stem and on inside of bowl; the vase is decorated with three applied dragons: one with a tail ending in a leaf-like motive at the foot and with two wings is winding around the stem, the other - similar to the first - sits on the back end of the bowl looking into the bowl, the third consists only of neck and head and is attached below the pointed end of the bowl; the inverted part of the bowl is furthermore decorated with a pair of applied threads in a wave pattern, enclosing on each side two blossom-like applied prunts flanking a prunt with an impressed lions head; foot, bowl and the dragons are covered with turquoise blue dots and streaks except for the neck of the third dragon and for the crests accompanying the bodies of all three dragons; the eyes are made of yellow and blue, the tongues of red glass.
