Physical DescriptionColorless and opaque white non-lead glass and brass; mold-blown, decorated, spun brass. (a) Composite base has screw-in kerosene tubular wick brass burner with "P/HARVARD/A" on wick raiser, brase collar above hammered brass "skirt" fitted on colorless glass flattened spherical font with engraved leaf decoration around sides,attached to a brass collar above an ovoid opaque white hollow stem enameled with autumn leaves attached to a brass-plated skirt-like base; this section from base of font to base held together by a rod and nuts; (b) conical shade of opaque white glass with two molded rings at gop having gilt lines, autumn leaves on sides of shade; (c) brass shade holder has a circular section which fits over chimney and three arms to hold shade; (d) colorless blown chimney is narrow at top and wider at lower third, cracked-off and ground at top and bottom rims.
