Physical DescriptionTransparent cobalt blue non-lead glass, polychrome enamels; blown, enameled, fired. Tall, thinly blown cylindrical vessel with flared collar, ground and polished rim, body slightly waisted, rounded base becoming concave and forming deep internal cone; enameling on interior and exterior; rim banded in black, one half of exterior depicts interior domestic scene of three nude figures painted in ochre sitting around a "G" shaped aqua table, two figures hold musical horns, central unpainted section in form of paned window is flanked on right by painted hanging light fixture, and on the left by a cross decorated with a saxophone; other side of body lightly enameled to low dark horizon with silhouette of church and graveyard; interior irregularly brushed in brownish-red; no pontil; painted on base in yellow block letters: "VELISEK 1991/BREZEN/V (illegible) NOVANO VSEM $".Provenance
