Physical DescriptionBowl with Stand. Colorless, lead (?) glass, gilt; mold-blown, facet-cut. Bowl flares to flat, gilded rim; body facet-cut with four adjoined tiers with small open-fan shapes in lowest row; hexagons in next two; pentagons with curved tops in top row; gilt-painted design in European style, painted in large part, in corresponding forms, on exterior and interior; rounded foot rim bears scroll pattern painted in gilt, both on interior and exterior; above, a gilt line surmounted by long and short perpendicular lines; slightly concave base; painted in gilt on interior and exterior with four- character reign mark of “乾隆年制 Qianlong Nianzhi” within single-lined border square in the center. Modern mahogany stand of carved, splayed lobes.
