Physical DescriptionColorless. Blown; relief-cut. Bottle with ovoid body. Rim plain, with top flattened by grinding; neck cylindrical; wall (TTh. 0.2 cm) curves smoothly down, out, and in, and merges with rounded base (Th., at center, 0.25 cm); no pontil mark. Relief-cut decoration (Th. 0.1 cm) on neck and wall. On neck: continuous band of five raised oval(?) motifs, each containing one countersunk circular element (D. 0.4 cm) above one continuous horizontal rib. On wall, from top to bottom: (1) continuous band (W. 1.7 cm) of 11 closely spaced horizontal ribs; (2) continuous band of eight identical oval motifs (H. 3.8 cm, W. 2.4 cm); each oval has raised outline with indentations at widest point, and it contains two raised ovals, which almost touch and have single raised tear-shaped motifs between their tops and bottoms, inverted at top and upright at bottom; and (3) separated from (2) by horizontal rib and with similar rib below it, continuous band of 15 identical raised elements (H. 3.8 cm, W. 1.6 cm) conjoined at bottom; each element has straight sides, which curve in to pointed top, and one vertical rib at center; below junction of each pair of sides is one countersunk circle (D. 0.5 cm), and below this all raised elements terminate in row of semicircular scallops, each of which frames one countersunk circle.
