Physical DescriptionNeodymium glass. (a) Pale bluish mauve, transparent; (b) pale bluish mauve, transparent, with yellowish amber, transparent knop; blown, applied. Candleholder (a), with cover(b). Candleholder: globular, with hemispherical mouth. Rim plain; narrow opening at junction of mouth and body; base plain, with high, rounded kick; no pontil mark. cover: bell-shaped, hollow except for knop. Semiovoid knop resting on two disks with rounded edges, small above and larger below; wall descends vertically, then splays, with plain rounded rim at bottom. (a) Inscribed on outside below rim with diamond point: "Royal Leerdam 250-248 R.M. 1994" (cursive); (b) inscribed on inside above foot rim with diamond point: "Eddio ed Adam RL-RM" (cursive).Provenance
