Physical DescriptionTransparent pale amethyst, translucent yellow (with greenish cast) non-lead glass, opaque brown enamel powders; blown, hot-worked, acid-etched, hand-abraded. Tall lipless cylinder with two prominent side indentations that distort circular shape of vessel, walls taper in towards flat base, exterior has overall surface abrading creating a semi-matte surface shading from light at top to dense at base; anchored to base within the vessel is a hollow hotworked elongated human torso (no head, arms, legs cut off below knees) with defined musculature formed of yellow glass with brown mottling and striations; base is slightly concave with abraded concentric rings, no pontil; faintly inscribed in script at base edge: "Ruth King 1993".
