Physical DescriptionThick-walled ashtray of circular shape with straight sides made of colorless and transparent to opaque polychrome glass canes. The exterior of the side is decorated with a band of cut fluting. A cushion of closely packed millefiori canes is fused into the center of the dish, forming a convex shape on the interior and a slightly convex, protruding circle under the base. A date cane is prominently located near the center in the interior of the vessel. It consists of the white symbol of Whitefriars Glass Litd in the center surrounded by a white circle, with a semi-circle of 6 white and blue star shapes above and the date "1976" below. Box: square two-part bottom board, paper and maroon fabric lining. Grey tweed exterior, gold inner box with fabric lining. Lid board and paper/tweed exterior with gold letters "WHITEFRIARS / hand-made crystal".
