Physical DescriptionColorless; one large bubble (L. 2.5 cm) in neck, and few small bubbles. Blown; facet and linear-cut. Bottle with cylindrical body. Rim in form of horizontal flange with rounded lip; neck cylindrical; shoulder slopes and has rounded edge; wall is vertical before curving in at bottom; base plain; pontil mark (D. 1 cm). Decoration on neck, shoulder, and wall. On neck: uppermost two-thirds has band containing seven vertical rows of oval facets, with three facets in each row, above one continuous groove. On shoulder: one continuous horizontal groove. On wall: 10 vertical panels separated by single vertical lines. Each panel contains vertical row of similar linear-cut motifs (clockwise): (1–3) three hook-shaped motifs, (4 and 5) three motifs that consist of short vertical line bisecting V-shaped element above shallow horizontal crescent, (6) perhaps like (1–3), (7) uncertain, and (8–10) like (4) and (5).Provenance
