(a) Ovoid body with flaring neck, ground and polished inside to fit stopper, flat circular base ground and polished, signed "Steuben" in diamond-point script under base. Gummed paper label with typed number "8043" on shoulder. (b) Stopper with solid, drop-shaped finial enclosing a tear-drop air bubble, top cut and ground at an angle; black ink number "8043", shank of stopper ground and polished, with and engraved no.
