Physical DescriptionOpaque white non-lead glass; glass-ceramic (PYROCERAM); blue enamel; black handle; black plastic; metal; mold-blown by machine; screen printed; a) globular shaped kettle; flared rim with machine finished edge and pinched lip; top of rim at an angle, highest point at spout and lowest point opposite spout; straight neck with metal band around it; handle opposite spout, handle attached with screw to metal band, end of handle unattached and almost parallel to kettle; body of kettle tapers out from neck and rounds in at bottom, CORNING WARE backstamp on side of body underneath handle attachment, two identical decorations on opposite sides of kettle (backstamp in between) , design is spread out bouquet of three cornflowers; flat circular base; b) circular shaped lid; round knob with concave metal top and sides that taper in to top of lid; lid slightly domed, portion of edge pressed in from the side, leaving a concave area semi-ovoid in shape and about 4cm long; flat metal band the diameter of the lid attached to center of underside, ends of band bent nearly 90 degrees to form two inserts about 2cm long, plastic conical shaped pieces attached to end of inserts.
