Physical DescriptionSnuff Bottle and Stopper. Opaque yellow glass, amethyst stone, black plastic, ivory, cork; blown, cold-worked. (a) Flattened, circular form, with slightly convex sides; short, waisted neck with flat rim and circular hole for a stopper; oval foot, polished flat underneath, with incised inscription "乾隆年制 Qianlong nianzhi" (made in the Qianlong period). (b) Domed amethyst (?) cap, mounted on a thin black (plastic?) disk; cork stopper; slender ivory spoon with spatulate bowl.
