Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass, white sulphide; mold-blown, encased, cut, molded sulphide, stamped metal mount. (a) Domed, circular shape, with a convex, octagonal panel on the front, enclosing a molded sulphide portrait of a man, facing slightly dexter, wearing a military uniform; inscribed in blue script, below, "Willem de 1e."; reverse flat, impressed "MT"; sides molded with heavy horizontal ribbing, fine ribbing and relief-molded diamonds; the reverse with a rectangular field of rectangles, four outside polished flat, two inside with cut cross- hatching, center one polished flat; foot oval, polished flat; small cylindrical neck with cork stopper with central wire; a silver ribbed and beaded collar on the neck; (b) domed cover with shell top and with fine slanted ribbing on the side; fine ribbing vertically and horizontally below; hinge plate at the rear; maker's mark "Z-II" between beading in a rectangle on the side of the cap.
