Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass, white sulphide; blown, encased, cut, molded sulphide, stamped metal mount. Domed, circular shape, with a convex octagonal panel on the front, enclosing a molded sulphide portrait of a man, facing slightly dexter, wearing an admiral's hat, and military uniform, inscribed in blue script, below, "B. D. H. Chasse."; reverse flat, impressed "MT"; sides with bands of prismatic cutting and rounded ribbing above and below; back with four table-cut squares with eight strawberry diamonds adjoining; base a cut oval; small cylindrical neck ground for a stopper, with a silver ribbed sleeve, hinged domed and ribbed cover.Provenance
