Physical DescriptionColorless lead glass, white sulphide; encased, cut, molded sulphide, stamped gilt metal frame. Flat, circular plaque, with polished faces and concave cut rims; enclosing a molded white sulphide portrait bust (Louis XVIII), facing sinister, inscribed "ANDRIEU F." at the shoulder; flat on the reverse, impressed "A L'ESCALIER/DE CRISTAL/A PARIS."; telescoping two-part gilt metal frame, both with bands of repeated tiny fans and ropework at the central rim; sides undecorated; front frame with soldered ring and loose ring for hanging.Provenance
