Physical DescriptionColorless, Borosilicate heat-resistant glass; mold-blown, manipulated while hot. Three-part teapot: (a) flattened spherical body (ovoid in cross-section) with narrow collared opening, fire polished rim, narrow elongated spout rises at angle from widest point of body, V-cut opening with pinched lip, narrow solid squared applied handle echoes angle of spout; (b) tea leaf strainer, deep cylindrical shape with flanged rim that rests on pot opening (notched in three places for alignment with lid), walls taper in towards base edge cut with parallel vertical slots for drainage; (c) lid, flat with saucer-shaped top, deeply inset short flange (three small low-relief raised points at connection of flange and rim).Provenance
